About the Crown City Cyclists

The Start

In 1980, two local riders, Pat Callahan and Tim Sullivan, began meeting during the week to ride around Coronado. Two weeks after their first ride they were joined by George Moore, followed by Porkchop, and then Debbie Callahan. Initially this small group of riders consisted of just fellow neighbors along Margarita Avenue but soon more riders joined the group. Thanks to the dedication of a few local riders over twenty five years ago, Cornado is a thriving cycling community.
